One year at homify - recap!

Samantha shares her experiences after completing her first year at homify. We are so happy to have Samantha on our team and cannot wait for the years to come!

Could you please introduce yourself?

Hi, I am Samantha and I work as a Content Marketing Team Lead. My team and I are in charge of overseeing all content marketing initiatives across multiple platforms to drive traffic and create value for our customers and audience.

How would you describe your past year at homify?

A great experience that has provided me with the opportunity to continually grow and challenge myself, while working with some incredible teammates!

What were 5 things that you have learned in the past year?

Simplify and go - This is one of homify’s core values and I find it so important. In order to succeed you need to keep things simple and take action.

Embrace change - Change is the only constant. You have to embrace it with a positive attitude in order to move forward.

Be willing to pivot - There will be moments when you notice that what you are doing is not working or is not the best way to do it and that is OK! Do not get attached to any idea as a better one may be around the corner.

Recognize and celebrate success - You should celebrate success whenever a goal is achieved. By showing gratitude and appreciation towards your team’s accomplishments you can build a stronger relationship between team members and be inspired to work harder and contribute more.

Team work - “Great things in business are never done by one person, they’re done by a team of people”. I find this quote from Steve Jobs so relevant and it has been something that I try to remember and apply every day at work.

What aspects of your job bring you joy?

I really enjoy how dynamic my job is and how I can blend my creative side with my interest in data on a daily basis. I love to research and use data to better understand our audience in order to communicate to them in a compelling way and move them to take action.

I also find very rewarding to know that we’re helping professionals grow their business and connect them with homeowners through our platform in a meaningful way.

And last but certainly not least, I love seeing my team develop, grow and become better at what they do.

How would you describe homify’s culture?

Dynamic, diverse and inclusive. Homify has more than 30 nationalities so working with people from different backgrounds and working styles brings different ideas to the table which help us to come up with the best and most creative solutions.

Communication and collaboration are key, we are constantly sharing ideas with our colleagues, helping and learning from each other and constantly looking for ways to improve our work as a team or as a company.

What makes working at homify special?

Definitely the people! Working with motivated and smart colleagues inspires me to go the extra mile and strive in everything I do every day.

Working in a company composed of people with different backgrounds, experiences and skills mean that ideas will be innovative and creative and this has a significant impact on the organization’s success. I’m thankful every day to be able to work with such a diverse group of people.
